Stargrow currently handles approximately 1.9 million trees and 2.5 million rootstocks. This makes them the largest South African nursery in terms of volume and diversity.
We also export agricultural equipment, irrigation and offer any technical advice to our clients. We believe in networking with our clients and to do so we send personnel out to the various countries to follow up with existing clients and to help new clients with project decision making, soil analysis and general advice. We work closely with our nurseries to ensure that the client receives the best cultivars and work on getting new varieties on the market so that the client will be able to supply his market with the latest fruit. Stargrow Africa makes use of road, sea and air freight forwarding to ensure that our clients receive their products.
Mission
The high cost and risk to the producer when establishing a new orchard is precisely why Stargrow takes extra care to ensure that the quality of our plant material is always reliable. This encompasses the physical, chemical, genetic and phytosanitary profile of each plant.
Carefully grown plant material that complies with the client’s specification, can be attributed to Stargrow’s technological expertise, strengthened by a personal relationship with clients as well as a comprehensive technical back-up service.
